5:00 PM Fellowship time - Barbecue Welcome Buffet
7:00 PM Program - veterans' remembrances, presentations, etc.
Shuttle transportation is provided at 4:30 PM from the Homewood Suites Rosslyn Hotel to the AUSA Center. A return shuttle will deliver guests back to the Homewood Suites after the Gathering.
NOTE: The AUSA Center is adjacent to the Hyatt Place Hotel.
We hope you and your family members will join us for a casual evening of fellowship with other Gold Star Families as well as the veterans and their families too. This social event will be a time for sharing stories, memories, photos, memorabilia, etc. as we all learn more about your family's hero.
We will be presenting a slide show including photos of each of the 34 soldiers. We hope you will join our Facebook Group: NEVER FORGOTTEN 34 and post photos there prior to the events so that your favorite soldier may be included in our slide show. If you prefer, you may send your photos to Jim Garvin (contact info below).
Please plan to bring photos and other memorabilia such as medals, flag, articles, momentos, etc. to the Gathering. We look forward to hearing more about your soldier back home as we share more about his experiences in Vietnam. This will also be a great time to personally meet your family's personal Gold Star Host as we all get to know one another before the Memorial Ceremony on Tuesday, May 10.
